Hello. I am Laura Ellsworth . Thank you for visiting my web page.

I have been a mental health therapist for 19 years. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, registered with the Professional Academy of Custody Evaluators (PACE) and certified as a Reality Therapist. I began my mental health career as an Intern with the Federal Correctional Institute in Lexington, Kentucky as a Unit Psychologist in 1989 then moved to Evansville, Indiana in 1990 to work for the Lampion Center. My 16 years with Lampion provided experience and training in working with adults and children with a wide range of mental health concerns. In 2007 I opened my private practice and published a book “Choosing to Heal”. My book focuses on the treatment of childhood sexual abuse.

My office has a private waiting room for people who may be concerned about their confidentiality. My services are limited to 15 clients in order to have a more personal relationship with the people I work with. I work with a wide range of personal issues presented by both adults and children. These include but are not limited to:
